Tasmanian Glass Blowers
My professional life began as an architectural draftsman drawing other people’s dream environments. I rarely ever saw or touched the finished product, and then I discovered hot glass in London.
Molten glass has an undeniable seductive quality and for me, the inspiration is endless. I studied at the Orrefors Glas School in Sweden and worked in Greenwich, London before returning home.
Tasmanian Glassblowers was born following my return to the state. Initially established in a shed at historic Clarendon House, marriage and family expansion saw it relocate to its current home in Breadabane.
Hot glass has allowed me the privilege of creating works to be held in peoples home or work environments. Each piece is individually blown and sculpted in the open studio, allowing the tangible creativity to satisfy any audience and me.
